Who we are

Lou's Atlanta Painting is a residential and commercial painting contractor serving Atlanta, Georgia and the surrounding metro area. This policy covers the website at louatlantapainting.com and the information we receive through it.

If you hire us for a project, we may also collect information in person, by phone, or by email as part of doing the work. This policy covers that information too.

What we collect

Information you give us

When you fill out the estimate request form on our contact page, we ask for:

• Your first and last name
• Your email address
• Your phone number
• The property address for the project
• The type of service, project type, and timeline you select
• Anything you write in the message field

Your name, email address, and the service you're interested in are required to submit the form. Everything else is optional, though the more you tell us, the more accurate the estimate. You also give us information when you call, text, or email us directly.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, ours records some technical information when you visit:

• Pages you view and how long you spend on them
• The link or search that brought you here
• Your approximate location, derived from your IP address at the city or region level
• Your browser, operating system, and screen size
• Clicks, scroll depth, and taps on phone and email links
• Anonymous playbacks of a visit — mouse movement, scrolling, and clicks — with any text you type into form fields masked

We use this to understand which pages are useful and where people get stuck. We do not use it to identify you personally.

What we do not collect

We do not collect Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, or bank account numbers through this website. We do not process payments on this site. We do not knowingly collect information about your race, religion, health, sexual orientation, or political views.

How we use it

We use the information we collect to:

• Respond to your estimate request and schedule a walkthrough
• Prepare and send you a written estimate
• Communicate with you about a project we're doing or have done
• Follow up if you started a request but didn't finish it
• Understand how people use the website so we can improve it
• Keep records required for tax, insurance, and warranty purposes
• Prevent spam and abuse of our contact form

We do not sell your personal information, and we never have. We do not share it with other contractors, lead-generation services, or marketing companies.

Marketing messages

Contacting us for an estimate does not sign you up for a mailing list. If we ever start sending promotional email or text messages, we will ask for your permission first and every message will include a way to opt out.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers that make the website and the business run, and only to the extent they need it:

• Our web host — serves the website and receives estimate form submissions on our behalf.
• Google Analytics — aggregate website traffic measurement. See Google's privacy policy.
• Our analytics provider — measures how visitors move through the site so we can improve it.
• Google reCAPTCHA — protects the estimate form from automated spam. Its use is subject to Google's privacy policy and terms of service.
• Google Fonts and Google Maps — deliver the site's typefaces and the service-area map. Loading them tells Google your IP address.

Beyond that, we will disclose information only if the law requires it, if we need to respond to a subpoena or court order, or if it is necessary to protect our rights, our team's safety, or yours. If our business is ever sold or merged, customer records may transfer to the new owner, who would remain bound by this policy.

Cookies & tracking

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Ours are used for two things: measuring traffic and understanding how the site is used. We do not run advertising cookies and we do not build advertising profiles.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings — the site will still work. Most browsers also send a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal; we honor Global Privacy Control signals where the law requires it. You can opt out of Google Analytics entirely with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

How long we keep it

Estimate requests and project records are kept for as long as we may need them for warranty, tax, or insurance purposes — generally seven years — and then deleted. Website analytics data is retained on a rolling basis — generally no more than 14 months — after which it expires automatically. You can ask us to delete your information sooner; see below.

Your choices & rights

You can ask us to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you
• Correct anything that's wrong
• Delete your information, unless we're required to keep it
• Stop contacting you

Email louatlantapainting@gmail.com or call 404-453-8967 and we'll take care of it. We aim to respond within 30 days. We won't charge you or treat you differently for making a request.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the Georgia Consumer Privacy Protection framework, the California Consumer Privacy Act, or the GDPR. We extend the rights listed above to everyone who contacts us, regardless of location.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, so what you send through the estimate form is encrypted in transit. Form submissions are stored in our hosting provider's dashboard behind password-protected accounts, and access is limited to people who need it to respond to you. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee against every possible breach — but if one affects your information, we will notify you as the law requires.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and change the "last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be noted clearly. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
